Ezekiel 13

In Ezekiel 13 we're confronted with the dangers of false prophecy and the importance of discernment in our spiritual lives. God warns against those who 'prophesy out of their own hearts' - a stark reminder that not every message claiming divine origin truly comes from Him. We're challenged to examine the motivations behind our own desires and dreams, recognizing that our intense wants can sometimes masquerade as God's will. The imagery of a wall built with 'untempered mortar' serves as a poignant metaphor for the fragility of false security and empty promises. This lesson calls us to build our faith on the solid foundation of God's true word, rather than the shifting sands of human wisdom or false comfort. As we reflect on this, let's ask ourselves: Are we seeking genuine truth, even when it's uncomfortable, or are we gravitating towards messages that simply make us feel good?
