Ezekiel 15 & 16
In today's lesson, we're confronted with a powerful metaphor of the vine tree. God asks, what use is a fruitless vine? This imagery challenges us to examine our own lives. Are we bearing fruit for God's kingdom, or have we become spiritually unproductive? The message is clear: our purpose is to glorify God and be useful in His hands. If we fail in this, we risk becoming like that fruitless vine - fit only for the fire. This sobering comparison reminds us of Jesus' words in Revelation 3 to the Laodicean church. When we become lukewarm in our faith, neither hot nor cold, we risk being 'spewed out.' Let's reflect on our spiritual temperature. Are we on fire for God, or have we allowed prosperity and self-sufficiency to cool our passion? This passage urges us to reignite our zeal for the Lord, to bear fruit, and to live lives that truly glorify our Creator.
